Community Involvement

Help give every girl and woman confidence to realize her dreams! Join with teens across the country to make a difference in the lives of girls and women around the world. Here are some ideas:

• Tell your government representatives just what you think! Support the Healthy Media for Youth Act.


• Join the Dove Movement for Self-Esteem.


• Talk to your mom about signing up together to volunteer in your community. Find out about National Charity League, the premiere mother/daughter community service organization. 


• Find support for making a difference in the world. Join the Actionist Network.


• Invite a woman to run! Do you know a woman who would make a great mayor, city council member, Congressperson? Send an e-card encouraging her to run for political office.


• Learn about the lives of women and girls in developing countries and the issues they face every day.Discover ways you can make a difference.


• Get ideas for celebrating Make a Difference Day, October 23.
